ELIJAH JOPLIN ENDS CAREER WITH 6,074 PASSING YARDS
Marana QB Elijah Joplin ended his career with 6,074 career passing yards to become only the sixth player in Southern Arizona history to break 6,000 career passing yards. Sabino junior Cameron Hackworth should break into the 5,000-yard club in his first game as a senior.

KELSEY HARSHMAN EARNS SILVER AT THE PAN AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Former Sabino standout and current Cienega head softball coach Kelsey Harshman helped lead Softball Canada to a Silver Medal at the 2022 Women’s Pan American Championship in Guatemala from Nov. 12-19. Harshman went 1-3 against Team USA in the playoff round with a run scored and two walks. Harshman helped Softball Canada win a bronze medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She is slated to be the head softball coach at Cienega this spring.
ALYSSA BROWN IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF UNLV 7-0 START
Former Sahuaro standout Alyssa Brown is averaging nine points a game for UNLV. Brown is fourth in scoring for the 7-0 program and number three rebounds with 5.7 per outing. She leads the team is blocks at five.

BIJAN ROBINSON BREAKS 3,000 CAREER RUSHING YARDS
Former Salpointe standout Bijan Robinson became the seventh rusher for Texas to break 3,000 career rushing yards joining Ricky Williams, Cedric Benson, Earl Campbell, Jamaal Charles, Chris Gilbert and Vince Young. Robinson donated $3,000 with of backpacks to a local school.

Named one of “Arizona’s Heart & Sol” by KOLD and Casino del Sol, Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014, he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017 and a 2019 AZ Education News recognition. He was a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years. Andy is a Southern Arizona voting member of the Ed Doherty Award, recognizing the top football player in Arizona, and he was named a Local Hero by the Tucson Weekly for 2016. Andy was named an Honorary Flowing Wells Caballero in 2019, became a member of the Sunnyside Los Mezquites Cross Country Hall of Fame in 2021 and he was a member of the Amphi COVID-19 Blue Ribbon Committee.
