Noteworthy: Titus Palmer is a college prospect as a first-team all-region selection last year. … Cisco Llamas is the starting point guard as a freshman. He already has a triple-double this season — 12 points, 10 assists and 10 steals in a 68-45 win over Palo Verde on Nov. 25. He is averaging 14.4 points, 6.9 assists and 4.8 steals per game. … Henry has never had a losing season in his 13th year as a head coach at Sahuaro, where he was an assistant of legendary Dick McConnell.Nick Ponds is one of the top Class of 2024 talents in Southern Arizona averaging 10.9 points and 10.1 rebounds a game.

Coach’s comment: “This year’s team is a guard-oriented group that likes to push the tempo and get up shots quickly. Along with our returners, we are adding a lot of young talent from our sophomore and freshman class.”
