PIMA ALL-AMERICAN SOCCER STANDOUT ERNESTO OSORNIO TO PLAY FOR BUTLER
Pima soccer standout Ernesto Osornio (Glendale Ironwood) signed on to play or Butler on Wednesday. Osornio was named a two-time NJCAA Division II Second-Team All-American, a two-time First Team All-ACCAC and First Team All-Region I, Division II player. He earned a spot on the 2022 United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division II Men’s All-American Team.
FORMER BENSON PITCHER EMILY DARWIN TO PLAY FOR GCU
Former Benson and Yavapai standout Emily Darwin announced her commitment to play for GCU.
FORMER CDO AND PIMA CATCHER ANDREW STUCKY TO PLAY FOR UTSA
Former Canyon del Oro standout and current Pima catcher Andrew Stucky committed University of Texas at San Antonio. UTSA competes in Conference USA. Stucky graduated from CDO in 2021.
FORMER CIENEGA AND PIMA INFIELDER BRAEDEN MONDEAU TO PLAY FOR BYU
Former Cienega standout Braeden Mondeau to play for BYU. Mondeau graduated from Cienega in 2021 and he signed with Pima out of high school.
MARANA SENIOR KENNY RHEIN TO PLAY BASEBALL FOR COCHISE
Marana senior standout Kenny Rhein batted .344 for the Tigers last year and pitcher/utility player signed to play for Cochise College next year.
SABINO STANDOUT SANTO CHIRCO AND FOOTHILLS STANDOUT TANNER AROS TO PLAY FOR HASTINGS
Sabino standout catcher Santo Chirco announced his commitment to play for Hastings College as did Catalina Foothills catcher Tanner Aros.

Named one of “Arizona’s Heart & Sol” by KOLD and Casino del Sol, Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014, he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017 and a 2019 AZ Education News recognition. He was a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years. He was the first in Arizona to write about high school beach volleyball and high school girls wrestling and his unique perspective can only be found here and on AZPreps365.com. Andy is a Southern Arizona voting member of the Ed Doherty Award, recognizing the top football player in Arizona, and he was named a Local Hero by the Tucson Weekly for 2016. Andy was named an Honorary Flowing Wells Caballero in 2019, became a member of the Sunnyside Los Mezquites Cross Country Hall of Fame in 2021 and he was a member of the Amphi COVID-19 Blue Ribbon Committee.
