The Careys of Tucson are in the same realm of some of the more distinguished athletic families from this area, including the Robinsons (Bijan and grandfather Cleo and granduncle Paul) and Bates (Marion, Michael and Mario).
Nadi Carey is a former standout basketball player at Flowing Wells, CDO and Pima College.
Younger brother Ka’Deem won a state title at CDO before becoming Arizona’s career rushing leader in yards and touchdowns.
The youngest brother Elijah was a standout running back with the Dorados, following in the footsteps of Nadi and Ka’Deem at the Oro Valley school.
Both Nadi and Ka’Deem remain highly visible in this area with their sports-training exploits.

Mother Tisha and father Jack have left a lasting impression on their kids with their work ethic and family values.
This podcast touches on the family background of Nadi and Ka’Deem and the significant contributions they continue to make on and off the court or field.
They are taking part in the Free Black Santa Meet & Greet event at Janet & Rays (5443 E. 22nd St.) on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Nadi is a college basketball referee in numerous Division 1 conferences after being a high school ref locally as recently as four years ago.
Ka’Deem is a two-time Canadian Football League All-Star running back. He eclipsed 1,000 yards rushing with the Calgary Stampeders this season, finishing with 1,088 yards on 164 rushes.
