Down 48-33 with just over seven minutes left, No. 5 Pueblo went on a 27-8 run the rest of the way to secure a 60-56 victory over No. 2 Sahuaro in an important 4A Conference match played at home Wednesday night.
Victoria Cazares led all scorers with 30 points and the senior standout came up big at the free throw line, making nine shots in the final 2:53 of the game. Cazares also started the game on a roll with nine early points to help lead the Warriors to a 14-6 lead in the first quarter but the Cougars went on a run of their own to take a 30-22 lead at the half….

Andy was named an Honorary Flowing Wells Caballero in 2019, became a member of the Sunnyside Los Mezquites Cross Country Hall of Fame in 2021 and he was a member of the Amphi COVID-19 Blue Ribbon Committee.
