Rylen Bourguet is a multi-sport athlete who captured her sixth team title Saturday when she kicked the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Walden Grove to give Salpointe another 4A state championship, the tenth in program history. Two of her championships came on the beach with the Lancers and the senior standout formally announced her commitment to play Beach Volleyball for ASU on Sunday afternoon.
Salpointe is already 2-0 on the season with with sweeps over Canyon del Oro and Maricopa and the Lancers are set to host Seton Catholic (0-1) on Monday. Bourguet also competes in indoor volleyball.
