FC Tucson and FC Tucson Women return to the pitch on Wednesday

FC Tucson Women (3-0-2) enters the final stage of the regular season sitting in second place behind SC del Sol (4-1) despite a 4-2 victory over the team from the Phoenix area two weeks ago at home. SC del Sol has 12 points and Tucson has 11. Arizona Arsenal (3-3) is in third place with nine points.

Tucson came away with a draw at El Paso Surf last Saturday which gave SC del Sol an opening to take the lead in the Desert Conference with three matches left for both programs. Tucson travels to play Arsenal this Wednesday at Bell Bank Park in Mesa before hosting Royals AZ (2-2-1) Friday night in the last home match of the year. SC del Sol will host Royals AZ on Saturday.

SC del Sol will host FC Tucson on Friday, July 7 in a match that might decide the conference championship.

The FC Tucson Men are 5-1-4 on the year after coming away with a 2-2 draw against Ventura County at home on Saturday.  Both teams scored in the final five minutes and in stoppage time to share the points in a USL League Two contest.

FC Tucson will travel to play at Capo FC (1-6-2) this Wednesday and the team will return home to Kino North Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff on July 3 for Fireworks Night against Arizona Arsenal (2-5-2).  

Tucson beat Capo 2-0 on June 3 but the teams tied 1-1 on June 16.
