Rincon’s Dom Hainley and Zane Brinkley recorded their team’s lone hits and Calvin Williams dominated on the mound allowing only two hits with 12 strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings in the 3-2 victory over Cactus Foothills.

Rincon rallied for a 2-0 lead in the top of the second After Richie Cantabrana walked and Brinkley singled with one out. Cantabrana and Brinkley later scored on wild pitches with two outs.

Rincon took a 3-1 lead in the fifth inning when Hunter Russell, who was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning, scored on a wild pitch after moving to second and third on a passed ball.

Three errors by Rincon allowed Cactus Foothills to load the bases before a hit-by-pitch forced in a run in the bottom of the fifth.

With two outs and runner on first in the sixth for Cactus Foothills, Williams was relieved by Russell, who got the lone batter he faced to ground out to end the game.

Pacheco limited Maricopa to two hits in 3 1/3 innings while striking out eight. Crue pitched a hitless 1 2/3 with two strikeouts and Jordan struck out the side in the seventh to earn the save.
