Armani Sheriff, 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds, should evolve into more of targeted receiver this season while he continues to improve on his ability as a pass defender. … He tallied 30 catches for 291 yards with three touchdowns last season. … He also had 22 tackles and two interception in the Salpointe secondary. … Coaches in the 6A East Valley last season selected him to the all-region second team. … He has received a scholarship offer from Hastings (Neb.)
