Girls Golf: Division II state tee times are set

Tee times for the first round of the Division II Girls Golf championships have been announced for play the Aguila Golf Course located in Laveen Village. The yardage is 5,696 (par 72). The first round is slated for Tuesday with the final round set for Wednesday.

Salpointe, Catalina Foothills and Canyon del Oro qualified as teams and eight golfers from Southern Arizona qualified as individuals including Ironwood Ridge junior Lucy Newell who comes in ranked No. 6. Salpointe senior Lily Huether is ranked No. 8 and she is the state runner-up from last year. Salpointe took third place as a team last fall.

The boys start D-II action on Thursday and those rankings are still being finalized.
