Marana junior wide receiver/safety Dezmen Roebuck had eight receptions for 141 yards with a touchdown and also returned a fumble recovery 47 yards for a touchdown in the No. 19 Tigers’ pivotal 42-9 win at No. 12 Casa Grande on Friday.
Marana has won three of its last four games to improve to 4-5 overall and 3-1 in the 5A Southern. The Tigers can win the region title with a victory over visiting Cienega on Friday.
Roebuck, an Arizona recruiting target, is the Week 11 APS Digital Print/Frog & Firkin Player of the Week.
His 93 receptions leads the state and is seven shy of the Southern Arizona record of 100 that was set by Calvin Dacus of Sahuaro in 1999.
