Marana’s girls wrestling team, coming off its championship at the Mile High Challenge at Prescott last week, took home the first-place trophy Saturday from the Bree Garcia Wrestling Classic at Barry Goldwater High School in Phoenix.
Marana, repeating as Bree Garcia Classic champions from last year, scored 253 points while Canyon del Oro finished second with 206.3.
Marana’s Daelyn Smead won the 107-pound title and the Tigers’ Elena Windham took home the 185-pound championship. All 11 of Marana’s wrestlers scored.
