Former Sahuaro standout Alyssa Brown was named Mountain West Player of the Week for UNLV.
Brown recorded her first double-double to help lead the Lady Rebels to an 83-78 victory over Colorado State on Saturday. Brown scored a season-high 14 points by shooting 4 for 5 from the field, 1 for 2 from long range and was 5 for 7 at the line and brought down a career-high 17 rebounds (five offensive and 12 defensive).
This list will be updated all year in an effort to recognize all former local prep stars who have gone on to win either academic and/or athletic awards at the next level.
