This is the 20th year of the MLK Basketball Classic held in McKale Center on the University of Arizona campus. It is the longest running MLK Classic of any kind held in a Division I arena.
The games count towards power-points, with no special rules, as they are regular season games played on this single day as agreed to by all programs
The first game is an exhibition between the Howell Hawks and the Gallegos Wildcats.
