Social media reactions of Arizona’s first spring football practice

The dawn of the Brent Brennan era took place at the Arizona practice facility on Tuesday with spring practice starting.

“It was awesome,” Brennan said in an Arizona football interview on X (Twitter). “It feels so good to be out here just to be in the practice environment. We’ve been spending the last two months lifting, running and getting to know each other. But this is the part that everyone’s excited about is starting to play football and starting to figure out which way we’re gonna go as a football team. So today was an awesome start.”

Brennan’s impression of the functionality of the team in the first practice: “I thought our defense did a fantastic job with the communication for a first day. I was also impressed with our offensive operation, just handling some of those things, you know the shifts and motions and the communication on offense also. I think we’re off to a good start. We’re still trying to figure out how demanding we’re going to be of each other in terms of our effort and and our execution, but that’s what spring ball is all about. So here we go.”

“Spring practice is a fun time of year because it’s all about opportunity,” Brennan said.

Tacario Davis: “I wanted to be part of something special, stay together, stick around and give the coaches a shot and see what it’s all about.”
