Eye on the Ball sports radio show on Fox Sports 1450-AM, hosted by Steve Rivera and Jay Gonzales, had Olympic wrestler Roman Bravo-Young and Arizona basketball legend Steve Kerr as guests on Wednesday.
Bravo-Young and Kerr will be in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics — Bravo-Young representing Mexico in the wrestling competition and Kerr coaching Team USA in basketball.
Bravo-Young was a four-time state champion at Sunnyside with a 182-0 record before winning two national championships at Penn State. He discusses in the interview with Rivera and Gonzales about how he qualified for the olympics with Mexico.
Bravo-Young’s family including his grandparents, mother, brother and sister are trying to raise funds to travel to Paris to support him. A GoFundMe account to help with the travel costs can be accessed by clicking here.
Kerr talks about watching the NBA playoffs with his Golden State Warriors out of postseason play, coaching Team USA and the expectations involved, and about some of his Arizona past as a player who helped Lute Olson build the foundation for what the Wildcat program is today.
