Bailey Johnson and Sydni Stallworth, two former Pima Community College women’s basketball standouts who attended high school locally, will host an Elevated Basketball Camp at the West Campus Gyum on June 15 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Johnson went on to play at Benedictine University after graduating from Tucson High and playing at Pima. She is currently an assistant coach at Westcliff University at Irvine, Calif.
Stallworth, a Palo Verde graduate before playing at Pima, joined Todd Holthaus’ staff last season with the Aztecs. She played professionally overseas after her carer at Alaska-Anchorage.
The camp is open to girls basketball players in high school.
“It will be a positive chance to work with college coaches to improve and develop their skills,” Pima assistant coach Pete Fajardo commented. “The camp is for high school players of all skill levels who are wanting a challenge in their development in their high school career and for the experience of what a collegiate workout looks like.
“Coach Johnson and Coach Stallworth have created this camp to give back the local community of girls who aspire to follow in their footsteps.”
