It is with great sadness that the family of James Howe III, announces his passing. He was called home on July 10.

Jim was born on April 24, 1961 in Tucson.  He graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He worked for Prudential Insurance Corporation and later retired as an educator, mentor, and coach from Benson Unified School District.

Jim coached Benson to a state soccer championship in 2006, beating St. Gregory 4-1. His son, James Howe IV was the State 1A-3A Player of the Year and another son, Matt, was also a State First Team selection. James had a hat trick in the final and Matt scored the other goal. The brothers assisted each other in each score.

Jim’s devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren was a testament to his unconditional love.  He was a pillar of strength and support to his family, friends, and community.  His contagious smile, genuine kindness, and one of kind laugh, left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Jim was a karaoke legend, a golf enthusiast, a grill master, and the great white hunter.

Jim is survived by his wife of 36 years, Veronica; their sons, James Howe IV (Mariah), Matthew Howe, grandsons, James Maddux and Bryant Richard Howe; his mother Leonor Howe and preceding him in peace James Howe Jr.
