Softball Majors World Series: Willcox joins Santa Rita, Tucson Mountain, San Xavier and Sunnyside from Southern Arizona

Willcox went 4-0 to capture the West Region championship. The team from District 8 joins District 5 teams Santa Rita (1986) and Tucson Mountain (1987) and District 12 teams San Xavier (2002) and Sunnyside (2013) as the only teams from Southern Arizona to qualify for the Little League Softball World Series. Sunnyside went on to in the World Series championship.

Willcox, representing the West, will play Pennsylvania from the Mid-Atlantic Region on Sunday, August 4 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time to start World Series play at Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park in Greenville, North Carolina.
