Long and Fajardo are California League champions after both contributed without allowing an earned run during the postseason. Long pitched four innings in the series against San Jose and Lake Elsinore with five strikeouts and one walk while giving up three hits. Fajardo pitched in Game 2 against Lake Elsinore and struck out three and walked one in 1 1/3 hitless innings of relief.
Long was 1-0 with a 1.08 ERA allowing three hits in 8 1/3 innings in the regular season for Modesto after he signed as an undrafted free agent by the Mariners. He struck out eight and walked three and allowed three hits and one earned run.
Postseason stats are not kept for career stats but if the regular season and postseason stats were combined, Long would have a 0.73 ERA in 12 1/3 innings with 13 strikeouts and four walks.
Fajardo was 3-2 with a 5.10 ERA with 73 strikeouts and 41 walks in 65 1/3 innings during the regular season with Modesto.

Oliva went 9-15 at the plate over the week recently (Sept. 2-8) for a Texas League-best batting average of .600. He also topped the league in on-base percentage (.650) and was top five in slugging percentage (.667). He drove in six runs and also stole three bases. This is the first league weekly award for Oliva in his career. Oliva was signed by the Mariners as a minor league free agent in March. He was drafted in the seventh round by Pittsburgh in 2017 out of Arizona and played 26 games in the majors with the Pirates over the 2020 and 2021 seasons. He played with Triple-A Salt Lake of the Los Angeles Angels organization last summer.
