Tucson High’s girls basketball team went 3-1 in the Estrella Foothills Lady Wolves Classic that concluded Saturday with a 54-31 loss to Buckeye in the championship game at Goodyear.
The Badgers (8-6) played without leading scorer Destiney Brown, who stayed home to tend to her ill mother.

First round – Tucson 37, Salome 35
Quarterfinals – Tucson 53, Estrella Foothills 51
Semifinals – Tucson 35, Combs 33
Championship – Buckeye 54 – Tucson 31
Tucson continues its schedule Thursday with a game at home against Sahuaro. Play in the 6A South begins Jan. 21 with a home game with Rincon/University.
