AIA’s first power-rating release for baseball was Tuesday and three Southern Arizona schools are rated No. 1 in their respective conference — Canyon del Oro in 5A, Salpointe in 4A and Bisbee 2A. The Dorados and Lancers are former rivals in the 4A conference (CDO was elevated to 5A this school year). They play Friday at Salpointe at 6 p.m. The Pumas are the defending 2A state champions. The ratings are based on AIA-sanctioned games, not including in-season tournaments.
