Former Cienega standout Joey Staiger was named NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week after throwing a no-hitter for National park College.
Former Marana standout Isaiah Roebuck earned the Kennedy S. Wanner Award at Jamestown. The award is based on a student’s scholastic record, participation in intercollegiate athletics and high ideals.
Former Ironwood Ridge standout Devyn Netz was named Softball America Star of the Week after throwing a perfect game for Arizona.
This list will be updated all year in an effort to recognize all former local prep stars who have gone on to win either academic and/or athletic awards at the next level.
