Arizona coach Becky Burke added her second former signee while at Buffalo — where she left to coach the Wildcats — with Forest Park (Ohio) Winton Woods High School forward Daniah Trammell’s pledge to the program Saturday.
Trammell, considered a combo forward (wing and power forward) at 6-foot-1, joins Omaha, Neb., combo guard (point guard and shooting guard) Molly Ladwig as players who first signed with Burke at Buffalo but changed their plans to join the coach in Tucson.
Ladwig committed to Arizona on Friday.
More than two weeks ago, when Burke was hired by Arizona, former Buffalo guard Noelani Cornfield announced her transfer to Arizona.
James Ewing, an assistant with Burke at Buffalo, is also on Burke’s staff at Arizona.
Trammell’s commitment gives Burke 12 players for 2025-26. She could fill 15 scholarships if she chooses.
Trammell is coming off a 27-0 record and state championship with Winton Woods last month. It was the school’s first state title.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that when the final buzzer sounded concluding Winton Woods’ 70-55 victory over Whitehouse (Ohio) Anthony Wayne, Trammell “set the ball down and burst into tears. She was still wiping her face as she accepted her medal.”
“If you would have told me I’d be in my senior season, 27-0, state champion, I would have been like, ‘Are you kidding me?'” Trammell told the Enquirer. She finished with 17 points in the game.
Trammell is a three-time all-state and all-conference selection.
She averaged 14.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals this season.

Trammell was also named one of 10 national finalists in 2024 for the Jersey Mike’s Naismith High School Basketball Courage Award, which is given out by the Atlanta Tipoff Club, the same organization that issues the Naismith Player of the Year awards for college and high school basketball.
She was raised by a single mother but has excelled in the classroom and on the court. She had a 3.4 GPA and led Winton Woods in scoring and rebounding at the time the award was determined. She also volunteers at basketball camps.
“Daniah is a special talent. She competes at an extremely high level on both ends of the floor, and I love that about her,” Burke said about Trammell after Trammell signed with Buffalo. “She’s definitely going to test opponents’ competitiveness and fire because hers is as good as it gets.
“I think she’s selfless and loves the game of basketball which helps her embrace her role, whatever that may be, to help her team win.”
Burke’s comment on Ladwig after Ladwig signed with Buffalo: “Molly is the ultimate floor general and competitor. She is someone you want leading your team and, in your huddles, and locker room. Molly wants to win and has the skill set to stand out on her own, but also make everyone around her better. She will score in bunches and make winning plays for our team on both ends of the floor. She is a player in which this city and fan base will fall in love.”
