The Pima Community College softball is headed to the NJCAA Division II World Series at Oxford, Ala., for the second consecutive season, this time as the No. 7 seed.

The Aztecs were the No. 14 seed in last year’s NJCAA Division I World Series and lost their two games.

This season, the NJCAA included a Division II World Series. Pima did not play any of the Division I schools in Arizona (Eastern Arizona, Central Arizona, Cochise, etc.) as conference games this season as it has in years past.

Pima (50-7) will open the World Series against No. 10 Iowa Central College (47-10) on Monday at 3 p.m., Tucson time.

The Aztecs won their second straight Region I championship last weekend after beating South Mountain 3-2 in the championship round. They won the Division II crown this year and Division I title in 2024.

All games will be live streamed through the NJCAA Network for a fee:

Day Pass – $12
Tournament Pass – $35
Championship Only – $5

Pima’s roster includes 17 of its 19 players from Southern Arizona.
