Former Arizona standout Bobby Dalbec, whose Wildcat career ended in 2016 after a trip to the College World Series, belted the 200th home run of his professional career in grand fashion Sunday night. The blast came in the bottom of the 10th with one out to lift Triple-A Nashville of the Milwaukee Brewers organization to a 3-2 win over the Charlotte Knights of the Chicago White Sox organization. Charlotte right-hander Wikelman Gonzalez struck out Tyler Black to start the bottom of the 10th with the automatic runner on second base. Dalbec then came to the plate. Gonzalez began the at-bat against Dalbec with two straight low and away sliders to get into a 2-0 hole. He clipped the inner half of the plate with a third straight slider on a called strike. Gonzalez then hung a slider over the heart of the plate. Dalbec turned on it at 112 mph into the left field stands for the dramatic walk-off win. Dalbec has 47 home runs in the big leagues when he was with the Boston Red Sox and 153 in the minors (46 in Single-A and Single-A+, 26 in Double-A and 81 in Triple-A). Dalbec, who had 24 home runs in his Arizona career from 2014 to 2016, has 16 home runs at the Triple-A level this year (12 with Nashville and four with Charlotte).
