— Recent Arizona Wildcats, RHP Casey Hintz and OF Aaron Walton, have been assigned to the Single-A level of their respective organization. Hintz is headed to Modesto (Calif.) of the Seattle Mariners organization and Walton to Lynchburg (Va.) of the Cleveland Guardians organization.
— Former Arizona RHP Tylor Megill, on the 60-day IL with the New York Mets, was assigned to Double-A Binghamton (N.Y.) on a rehab assignment. Megill as been sidelined since the middle of June due to a right elbow sprain. Megill was effective Tuesday in brief duty as a starter at Binghamton. He allowed three hits and had a walk in 1 2/3 innings but also struck out four batters.
— LHP Jackson Kent and 1B Branden Boissiere are united again at Double-A Harrisburg (Pa.) of the Washington Nationals organization after Kent was promoted from Single-A+ Wilmington (Del.) to Harrisburg on Tuesday. Boissiere was promoted on July 18.
— Veteran former Arizona INF Scott Kingery was designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Angels, meaning he will either be released or remain at Triple-A Salt Lake after clearing waivers.
