— Former Arizona RHP Casey Hintz made his professional debut and earned his first career save with Single-A Modesto (Calif.) of the Seattle Mariners organization. He faced one batter in the ninth in a 5-2 win over Inland Empire of the Los Angeles Angels organization. The batter reached on a fielder’s choice grounder, but the final out was recorded on the play when the runner at third base was thrown out.
— Former Arizona LHP Jackson Kent picked up a win in his Double-A debut Thursday night with Harrisburg (Pa.) of the Washington Nationals organization. He allowed six hits with six runs in five innings but that was good enough for the victory in the 8-6 decision over Hartford (Conn.) of the Colorado Rockies organization. Kent struck out seven and walked only one. He was promoted Tuesday from Single-A+ Wilmington (Del.) after posting a 5-7 record with a 4.31 ERA with 97 strikeouts and 25 walks in 94 innings.
