The Arizona volleyball team swept No. 16 Baylor 3-0 on Thursday night at McKale Center, extending its strong run with a commanding performance.

From the opening serve, the Wildcats (9-6, 3-2 Big 12) controlled the tempo with aggressive hitting, tight defense and efficient transitions.

Arizona won the game in straight sets — 25-21, 32-30 and 25-23 — never allowing Baylor (9-6, 4-3) to find its rhythm.

Outside hitters Jordan Wilson and Carlie Cisneros led the attack, combining for consistent kills and steady play at the net. Their chemistry and offensive balance kept Baylor’s defense off balance throughout the night.

Head coach Charita Stubbs praised her team’s composure and focus after the win.

“Our team stayed disciplined and executed the game plan,” Stubbs said. “Everyone stepped up when it mattered most.”

Arizona’s defense also made a statement, with strong blocking and quick reactions limiting Baylor’s scoring chances.

The Wildcats’ energy and communication helped them maintain control in each set.

With the 3-0 sweep, Arizona continues to build confidence heading into its next stretch of matches. The Wildcats’ depth and determination were on full display, showing they are ready to compete at a high level as the season progresses.

Arizona next plays at UCF on Friday, followed by matches on the road against Houston (Oct. 19) and Iowa State (Oct. 23), before returning to McKale Center on Oct. 25 against Arizona State.
