Marana senior QB Colten Meyer is only 74 yards away from passing former Sabino standout Cameron Hackworth on the career passing list for Southern Arizona. Meyer threw for 427 yards in a 34-27 victory over Yuma Catholic in Round 2 of the 5A State Playoffs on Friday. That total includes a 44-yard TD pass to Jaxsun Sharp in the final moments to help avoid an upset. No. 4 Marana will host No. 5 Scottsdale Horizon Friday night in the quarterfinal round.
