Mexico’s Roman Bravo-Young, a former Sunnyside High School and Penn State championship wrestler, defeated Puerto Rico’s Darian Cruz by technical superiority (11-0) in the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games men’s freestyle 57 kg (125 pounds) championship Friday at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The gold-medal victory completed a clean sweep of five matches in the competition for Bravo-Young, who participated in his first event since suffering a foot injury in February at the Zagreb (Croatia) Open.
