DOBSON CLASSIC HOSTED BY PINNACLE
Dobson Ranch Golf Course: Sept. 16-17
Catalina Foothills outlasted Queen Creek Perry 279 to 280 to win the Dobson Classic hosted by Pinnacle last week. Pinnacle came in third with 281. Pinnacle is currently the top-ranked Division I team in the state and the Falcons are ranked third behind Perry. Catalina Foothills competed in D-II last fall.
Falcon senior Zachary Schaefer tied for second with a 6-under-par 66 and Seton Catholic Sr. Nathan Ash recorded an 8-under 64 to lead the field. Schaefer shot an eagle on the 18th hole to help claim second place. Hamilton Sr. Owen Greenough (66) won the D-I individual title last year and Perry Sr. Ethan Butters (66) claimed second place.
Catalina Foothills Sr. Parker Servoss scored a birdie on his 18th hole to provide the difference over Perry.
