Pima women’s soccer players Taylor Gutierrez (Tucson), Savannah Robinson (Cienega) and Destiny Tacey (Buena) signed on to play at the next level during a signing ceremony held on campus on Tuesday.
Gutierrez, a sophomore midfielder, signed her national letter of intent to Caldwell University, an NCAA Division II school in Caldwell, NJ. The Cougars play in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. Gutierrez scored four goals and had one assist as she played and started in all 17 games this season. She was named second team All-ACCAC/NJCAA Region I.
Robinson, a sophomore forward, signed her national letter of intent to William Penn University, an NAIA private liberal arts university in Oskaloosa, IA. The Statesmen play in the Heart of American Athletic Conference. Robinson scored two goals and had two assists as she played in seven games this season.
Tacey, a sophomore defender, signed her national letter of intent to Park University Gilbert. The Buccaneers just launched their women’s soccer and other athletic programs during the 2019-20 athletic season. Tacey played in 11 games and had one assist. The Aztecs scored 53 goals and the defense gave up 21 goals.
