I see Jeff Goodman tweeted former Arizona All-American Jason Terry is the leading candidate to become Sean Miller’s newest assistant.
It all started about three weeks ago and it became clearer in the last 10 days when recruits from the northwest, including Seattle University transfer Terrell Brown who happens to be Jason Terry’s god son.
Who’s to say it’s not already a done deal save for the hiring freeze the University of Arizona is under right now. It’ll be at least until June if anything happens with any hire. Last week, in a story, I reported “expect a big name” hire for the assistant job. Terry’s name come shortly after ESPN replayed the national championship game at the beginning of the month.

Teryy would be a welcome addition to the staff given his history with the program. And, well, of course, he’s well-liked.
And it would seem fences have been mended – if they were broken at all – after Terry Tweeted just over two years ago that needed to “clean house” because “we’ve have way too much pride, too much tradition to allow outsiders to tear down what we built.”
But last year, Terry told a Phoenix radio show he strongly supported Miller and that “we’re in good hands.”
We won’t likely know what it all means for a while.
