Former Amphitheater standout Tim Derksen signed a new one-year deal with the Geneva Lions of the Swiss Basketball League for the 2020-21 season.
According to a release, the San Francisco product is coming off of a year-and-a-half stint with Fribourg Olympic, where in 2018-19, he led the club to a league and cup championship. In 2019-20, Fribourg Olympic maintained their dominance in league play with a 19-1 record, where Derksen averaged 15.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.3 steals per contest. Derksen also had a great run in FIBA Europe Cup averaging 14.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
