Levi Wallace added to the most NFL career interceptions for a player from a Tucson-area high school with his pick of a pass by the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger in host Buffalo’s 26-15 win on Sunday Night Football.
Wallace, 2013 Tucson High graduate who went on to star at Alabama after walking on to Nick Saban’s team, achieved his fourth career interception with the Bills.
In Week 15 last season, Wallace, a cornerback, caught his first career interception against the Pittsburgh Steelers, also on Sunday Night Football, picking off Devlin Hodges to seal a 17–10 Bills victory in the final moments to help Buffalo clinch a playoff berth.
His performance on Sunday must be one of personal satisfaction because of recent scrutiny following last week’s win over the San Francisco 49ers at Glendale

His four interceptions are the most in the NFL by a Tucson product, topping the two by former fellow Badger standout Sean Harris, a linebacker, with the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts from 1995 to 2001.
Mike Scurlock, a safety who graduated from Cholla after transferring from Sunnyside, had one interception during his career with the St. Louis Rams and Carolina Panthers from 1995 to 1999.
Sabino product Brooks Reed, a linebacker, also has one interception in his time with the Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals from 2011 to 2019.
Harris and Scurlock played at Arizona at the same time during the Desert Swarm era in the early-to-mid 1990s. Reed played for the Wildcats from 2007-10.
The most career NFL interceptions by a Southern Arizona defender is by Eloy Santa Cruz’s Mossy Cade, who had five with the Green Bay Packers from 1985 to 1996.
In his third season with Buffalo, Wallace has already established the most starts (32) at defensive back from a Tucson-area product in the NFL.
Scurlock played in 65 games in his NFL career and started once.
