Former Palo Verde and Pima College standout Sydni Stallworth signed a professional contract to play for Lemvig Basketball in Denmark. Stallworth went on to play for Alaska Anchorage where she earned All-Conference recognitions.
Despite her 5-foot-3 frame, Stallworth is known as a scorer and she recorded 2,182 points with Palo Verde which puts her No. 21 in the history of girls basketball in Arizona and No. 5 for Southern Arizona. She scored 1,103 points for the Aztecs (16.5 ppg.) which led to two ACCAC Div. II Player of the Year honors.
Stallworth was a standout for the NorCal Raiders of the Women’s Universal Basketball Association (WUBA) where she averaged 16.8 points a game to earn WUBA Conference Player of the Year honors.

Former Tucson High and Pima standout Maury Urcadez was named Social Media and Content Creator for the United Soccer League (USL) on Monday.
Urcadez has been an important member of FC Tucson Women including the undefeated Desert Conference championship squad from this past summer.

Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014, he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017, a 2019 AZ Education News award winner and he has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years. He was the first in Arizona to write about high school beach volleyball and high school girls wrestling. His own children have won multiple state high school championships and were named to all-state teams.
