Hey Wildcat fans,
I’m glad to be writing this week’s topic — Pac-12 Media Day!
This past Monday myself and Cate Reese were given the opportunity to fly to San Francisco for Pac-12 Media Day. A perk from this trip was flying on the private jet. It was my first time flying on a jet that size with a whole couch on the inside, it made flying a lot less painful. I got to sit up in the front of the plane with the pilots and watch us take off. I felt like a little kid being able to sit in the front with all the buttons.
We landed pretty late, so we ate dinner at the hotel and had a few hours to relax. Cate and I watched a Netflix movie called “There’s Someone Inside Your House.” Last season when we roomed together, we would always watch a movie or start a TV show together. It was kind of a tradition for us since we couldn’t leave our rooms because of COVID.

The day started off early and of course we had to check out the makeup room first. We got all glammed up and ready for the long day ahead of us. It is always a weird feeling seeing the players you consider an “enemy” on the court, but then you see them in a normal setting and they are all friendly. We even made a Tik-Tok with the school up north. It’s unfortunate that they belong to that school because the players were cool.
My favorite station from media day was “Who Knows Who Better.” Cate and I had white boards and had to answer questions about each other. After playing with her for four years and living with her for three, I would hope that I know her pretty well. I’ve always wanted to do this challenge because it is so funny watching others do it. I would love to do it with the whole team one day, so watch out for that video possibly in the future.
After getting home from San Francisco, the fun didn’t stop there. We finally filmed our intro video for the season. I’m excited to see it for myself and for when all the fans see it when we are back in McKale. The team that puts together the video always do a great job and never disappoint. Hope you all get the chance to see it in McKale. Less than two weeks away to the first exhibition game against Eastern New Mexico on Oct. 28!
