Arizona fourth-year forward Cate Reese was named to the Naismith Trophy Midseason Team, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced on Tuesday morning.
The Cypress, Texas, native is averaging 15.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the sixth-ranked Wildcats, leading the team in both categories and ranking seventh in the Pac-12 in points per game.
Reese has been especially effective in Pac-12 play, scoring double-digits in every game and averaging 16.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
Reese also is climbing the ranks in the Arizona record book in a number of categories. The 6-2 forward currently sits at eighth all-time in total points with 1,455 and ranks fourth in program history with 743 rebounds.
The 30-person Midseason List will be trimmed down to 10 finalists before the winner is announced.
