The Auxiliary Gym at Cholla will be renamed on Monday, June 27 at 6 p.m. to reflect the many contributions former basketball coach Mike Argraves made to the Old Pueblo community, and more specifically, the proud Cholla family of athletes and students.
Argraves passed away on Dec. 23, 2016 but his 32 years of coaching will live on in the lives he touched on the many courts and fields where he passed on his knowledge and his work as an Adaptive Physical Education instructor during the day touched the lives of generations of families who benefited from his grace and expertise.
The group “Project Coach Mike” would also like to add signage on the outside of the gym and the group is seeking funds for this project. The goal is $6,000. Please consider donating, anything helps.
