Brandon Rosenthal graduated from Catalina Foothills in 2006. From there, Rosenthal played and coached at St. John Fisher College and he eventually worked himself into an assistant job at Santa Clara, worked with the Houston Rockets, the Northern Arizona Suns, the Phoenix Suns and then Bobby Hurley hired Rosenthal in 2019 to be his Director of Scouting and Player Development at ASU. Hurley announced Rosenthal’s promotion to assistant coach on Thursday.

Former Sahuaro standout Alyssa Brown heads back to UNLV this coming Thursday where she helped lead the Rebels to an appearance in the NCAA tournament as a freshman. Brown was offering her expertise this past weekend to the Mamba AZ Basketball Training taking place at Sporting Chance.
Ready for an Open Division in high school basketball? The top 32 teams will be involved with teams from 4A, 5A and 6A and the teams that do not get past the second round will be placed back into their respective conference tournaments. The remaining eight teams will be the Open Teams.
35-second shot clock? 3A, 4A, 5A and 6A will use one for all games unless the home team does not have one. However, a team cannot host at their own site as a higher seed in the state playoffs if there is not shot clock.

Andy is a Southern Arizona voting member of the Ed Doherty Award, recognizing the top football player in Arizona, and he was named a Local Hero by the Tucson Weekly for 2016. Andy was named an Honorary Flowing Wells Caballero in 2019, became a member of the Sunnyside Los Mezquites Cross Country Hall of Fame in 2021 and he was a member of the Amphi COVID-19 Blue Ribbon Committee.
