Noteworthy: Marks is a former Chandler Hamilton High School and Arizona Christian standout point guard who started his head coaching career at Ironwood Ridge in 2017-18. He departed from the program after the following season. Marks is taking on a daunting task — the Trojans have lost 36 straight games dating to the 2019-20 season. … Jonathan Greene has ashown promise on the defensive end. In the early season, he had a double-digit block game. … Zeph Howard is one of the quickest young guards in the city, according to Marks. “With more game experience, look to see some growth by the end of the season,” Marks mentioned.
Coach’s comment: “Very young and inexperienced team (that is 0-10 presently) looking to grow game by game. We have had some early success even in our losses and look to gain some ground as the season progresses. With the lack of experience there are many guys who are learning on the fly, but with our athleticism, we have some good pieces to build for the future.”
