Rincon’s Braxton Sapp hit a bases-clearing triple and Calvin Williams and Juneau Burkhardt each had two hits and two RBIs in the victory. Williams, whose two hits were doubles, also struck out 10 batters in five innings as the winning pitcher. Rincon played its aggressive brand of baseball on the basepaths with four stolen bases. Rincon advances to the championship round out of the elimination bracket. It must beat Arcadia (out of the winners bracket) on Sunday night and Monday night to claim the title.

Willcox’s Hattie Macumber struck out 11 and walked one while allowing only three hits in her complete-game win. She also had a sacrifice fly that accounted for one of Willcox’s runs. Jayleen Aguirre, Lily Williams, Josey Benavides and Kassandra Ramirez each collected a hit for Willcox, which did not commit an error. Aguirre at catcher had 12 chances.
