AMERICAN LEGION WESTERN REGION AT FAIRFIELD, CALIFORNIA
Post 7 Moondogs lost to Hawaii 11-0 in the second round of the American Legion West Region taking place in Fairfield. The Moondogs are comprised of players from Tucson High and the team is representing the state of Arizona at the region competition.
The team from Honolulu (2-0) scored seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to put the game away. Tucson (1-1) will take on New Mexico Friday in the Elimination Bracket. Albuquerque (1-1) beat Utah 6-2 to set up the game with Tucson. Still, a win over Albuquerque would place Tucson in the semifinal round set for Saturday.
