— Former Arizona right fielder Brendan Summerhill smoked an RBI double in his first professional at-bat with Single-A Charleston (S.C.) of the Tampa Bay Rays organization on Wednesday. Summerhill finished with three hits in four at-bats in his pro debut. He also recorded his first stolen base.
— Summerhill’s outfield mate at Arizona, center fielder Aaron Walton, also had a productive debut with Single-A Lynchburg (Va.) of the Cleveland Guardians organization Wednesday. Walton was 2 for 4 with run, triple and three RBIs.
— Their fellow Arizona teammate, shortstop Mason White, is also having a promising start at Single-A Salem (Va.) of the Boston Red Sox organization. He is batting .267 with eight hits, including a double, RBI and two stolen bases in his first 30 at-bats.
