Pima Aztec Holiday Classic

Down 28-23 to AZ College Prep at the half, Sahuaro limited the Knights to three points over the next 10 minutes to take a 43-31 lead and then Cougars went on the win the championship of the Pima Aztec Classic 59-53.
Cisco Llamas led the Cougars with 22 points and he outscored the Knights 10-3 in the deciding turnaround. Elijah Padgett added nine points, Jordan Martin added eight, as did Josh Salter. Zach Cutler led the Knights with 17 points, Cruz Monreal added nine and Owen Barnes scored eight.
AZ College Prep (2-8) will host Chaparral (6-4) on Jan. 8 and Sahuaro (11-1) will travel to Tucson High (8-5) on the same night.
Llamas has 1,752 career points and the senior could break 2,000 near the end of the regular season.
