Former Walden Grove standout Former Walden Grove standout Owen Kramkowski was name to the Big 12 Preseason Baseball Team for Arizona as a pitcher.

Former San Manuel standout Laila Ruiz was named Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Offensive Player of the Week in her first week in college competition after the Maryville freshman had a .571 batting average with eight hits, seven for extra bases and six home runs. She was responsible for ten of the Saints 26 runs over the opening weekend in Texas, also accounting for 27 of the Saints 66 total bases. She went 3 for 4 in her first game with three home runs.

Former Canyon del Oro standout Julia Holt was named Preseason Pitcher of the Year in the MEAC Conference for Howard.

This list will be updated all year in an effort to recognize all former local prep stars who have gone on to win either academic and/or athletic awards at the next level. These are not high school awards but collegiate and professional recognition. NOT CHAMPIONSHIPS.
