
Arizona concluded the regular season with an 81-67 loss at Utah on Saturday night at the Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City.
Sumayah Sugapong recorded a career-high 31 points, shooting 12 of 19 from the field and a career-high 6 of 10 from 3-point range while playing all 40 minutes.
Noelani Cornfield added 20 points, marking her seventh 20-point performance of the season. Cornfield also finished with nine assists.
Arizona (12-17, 3-15 Big 12) shot 44.8% from the field and 42.9% from beyond the arc, connecting on six 3-pointers. The Wildcats went 9 of 11 from the free-throw line and totaled 17 assists.
Utah (19-11, 10-8) built a 29-16 lead after the first quarter and led 47-34 at halftime. The Utes extended their advantage to 71-47 at the end of the third quarter before Arizona scored 20 points in the fourth to close the game.
With the regular season complete, Arizona enters the Big 12 Tournament next Wednesday as the No. 14 seed. If UCF loses to Houston on Sunday, Arizona will remain the No. 14 seed. If UCF defeats Houston, the Wildcats will move to the No. 15 seed.
The No. 14 seed will face the No. 11 seed in the opening round, while the No. 15 seed will play the No. 10 seed.
