New York Yankees area scout Bryan Huie is conducting his 25th annual Scout Team program through Baseball’s Next Level (BNL), beginning with a Fall High School Scout Team tryout May 16 at the Reid Park Baseball Complex.
Class of 2027, 2028 and 2029 prospects are encouraged to attend the tryout camp from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. and the fee is $20. Participants must bring their own water. Snacks will be provided.
The 10-week fall program includes a schedule playing against Arizona’s junior college programs and also in two tournaments that include the top players from Southern Arizona, New Mexico and El Paso.
BNL has produced 60 MLB draft picks and 15 big leaguers who have played on its scout team.
The list includes current MLB players Nick Gonzales of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Trevor Rogers of the Baltimore Orioles and Darell Hernaiz of the Oakland A’s.
