With national letter-of-intent signing period starting Feb. 3 for college football, Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez and his staff are hard at work getting their kind of guys. Dane Cruikshank is a cornerback from Glendora (Calif.) Citrus College who already is in the fold for the Wildcats.

Despite Arizona’s head-to-head victory over Gonzaga in December, the Bulldogs have emerged as the No. 1 seed in the West because that loss to the Wildcats is their only setback. The Wildcats’ loss at Oregon State, rated No. 122 in the RPI at the time, still stings. And UNLV continues to lose (2-5 since beating Arizona).
